About the boards.
Do leaderboards cost anything?
No. They’re free for everyone who plays, and so is joining a game. Only hosting is a one-time purchase.
Who can see me?
Nobody, until you turn leaderboards on. Then, if you make a board’s top 100, anyone who plays SCRAM can see your username, points, rounds played and won, runners tagged and your country’s flag. Never where or when you played.
How does SCRAM know my country?
It’s where you’ve played the most rounds. Our server works it out from each round’s play zone, with a world map it keeps itself, so no map company is asked.
Why aren’t my points on the board yet?
Boards update once a day, with rounds that ended at least 6 hours before. If a round still doesn’t show, check it counted: at least 1 hunter and 2 runners, a chase of 5 min or more, most players on the move, and no more than 10 rounds a day.
What stops people cheating?
A round with a faked location doesn’t count, and you can report a username right from a board. We can take points away, or take players off the boards, for cheating or for a username that breaks the rules.
